Wear Red!

February 6, 2009

Today is National Wear Red Day, sponsored by the Go Red for Women movement of the American Heart Association. The goal is to reduce heart disease in women 25% by 2010 through education and research. This cause is close to my heart, so to speak, for very personal reasons, and I am trying to do my small part to help spread the word that heart disease is the number one killer of women in America. While lifestyle changes could account for the most significant changes in the outcomes, it is imperative that it be coupled with significant research targeted specifically at women. So I’m wearing red today to show my support and I hope you will, too.
